Deputies spotted a 41-year-old hispanic male matching the descriptions of the suspect at around 5 p.m. before he ran into a shopping center near the 18900 block of Crossglade Ave. and Soledad Canyon Road, Sgt. Konecny said.
The name of the suspect was not available pending the investigation, Konecny said.
During the pursuit, the suspect was able to flee into one of the stores’ crawl spaces, which gave him access to connected business, Konecny said.
He eventually fell into a vacant business space, where the building was surrounded and contained by deputies, Konecny said.
He was surrounded an hour later after deputies announced that police dogs would be used, according to Konecny.
