Nicholas Colletta, 20, allegedly shot and killed Ivan Solis, 25, at a Canyon Country Park in 2017, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Solis was at Begonias Lane Park shortly before 5 a.m. on July 11, when witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots.

When deputies arrived, they discovered Solis dead from multiple gunshot wounds near the park restrooms. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Colletta was charged with premeditated murder, being a convicted felon with three priors in possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Jaqueline Arreola, 24, who was at the scene when law enforcement arrived, was arrested as an accessory for the murder of Solis, for allegedly having knowledge of the crime and deliberately concealing it.

She’s also facing a premeditated murder charge in Solis’ death, according to a criminal complaint obtained by KHTS News.

Colletta was held in Men’s Central Jail with a $3.1 million bail, while Arreola was in custody at Century Regional Facility in lieu of $2 million bail.

Nicholas Colletta is expected to return to the San Fernando Courthouse for pretrial on May 31.

  1. Check your facts. Arreola took a “deal” for her testimony and was released.
