The Castaic Lake Water Agency has implemented its new online vendor and bid management system, Planetbids, a fully automated eProcurement platform now available for vendor registration on the agency’s website.

This innovative software solution streamlines the government-regulated bid process for both the Agency and interested vendors.  

Traditional means of public agency bidding and procurement has historically been a heavily paper-laden process, requiring several hard copies of proposals to be submitted for review.  

Planetbid’s completely web-based solution simplifies the entire procurement process, and propels CLWA and its vendors to embrace sustainable business practices.

The paperless system reduces the environmental footprint, while increasing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Vendors who are interested in conducting business with CLWA may register with the PlanetBids System on the Agency’s website. Once registered, vendors will receive an email confirmation and future notifications to bid.

About the Castaic Lake Water Agency

The Castaic Lake Water Agency, CLWA, is the Santa Clarita Valley’s public water wholesaler. CLWA is one of 29 State Water Project contractors and receives water imported from northern California and Kern County through the California Aqueduct.

CLWA operates three large treatment plants, three major pump stations, three water storage facilities and over 45 miles of large diameter transmission pipelines delivering water to four local water retailers.

The agency’s mission is to provide reliable, quality water at a reasonable cost to the Santa Clarita Valley.
