The annual event at Valencia Lanes in Newhall allowed attendees to bowl for three hours for only $25, which included shoe fees and lunch.
“This is our first annual bowling event, we did a trial run last year and it went really well so we decided to do it again,” said Taylor Kellstrom, board member for Circle of Hope. “We have a raffle with great six items, card games going on and prizes for best team and best bowler and worst team and worst bowler.”
A silent auction and 50/50 raffle offered six gift baskets with items such as headphones, Advocare products, and more.
“We wanted to do an event that was open for families,” said Kellstrom. “Some of our other events aren’t really for children so we wanted a more family oriented place, especially on a sunday afternoon where everyone is normally hanging out with their family anyways.
Circle of Hope provides education and support services for uninsured and under-insured people with breast, ovarian, cervical, colon, uterine, testicular, prostate and childhood cancers.
