A woman was rescued from a cliffside in Valencia today after she was injured and unable to safely descend the cliff.

The woman was removed from the cliffside with the help of a helicopter. The helicopter then landed in a safe area where the woman was transferred to an ambulance and then transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, according to Los Angeles County Fire Officials.

The incident and the reason for the woman being on the cliffside is being investigated by Los Angeles County Fire Department.
