Wyatt Hillsdale, 24, of Hemet, was killed when the black Chevrolet Suburban he was driving collided with a GMC SUV.

Hillsdale’s passenger, a 23-year-old Santa Clarita Valley woman, was transported to the hospital, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials. The driver of the other vehicle was a 20-year-old man from Santa Clarita Valley. He also was transported to the hospital.

Neither person’s identity was released by Sheriff’s Station officials after the crash. Both were cut from the respective vehicles they were in using the Jaws of Life. The patients were transported in critical condition and expected to survive their injuries.

Sheriff’s Station officials are still investigating as to whether the decedent was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, awaiting the results of blood tests that were conducted at the hospital.

The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation by the detectives with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Traffic Unit.
