The remains were first discovered around noon March 7, about a quarter-mile west of Robert C. Lee Parkway.
Records show that the case has been labeled as a “Jane Doe,” according to Coroner’s officials.
The body appeared to be in the “very late stages of decomposition” at the time it was found, indicating it had been there for a while, according to officials.
At this time, the ID of the victim is still undetermined, and the cause of death remains under investigation.
