The dinner is planned to be held on Saturday, March 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the elegant Shakespeare Theater on the SCVi campus.

Guest of honor, Dale Donohoe, President of Intertex Companies for the past 28 years, has been instrumental in the history of Dale Donohoe To Be Honored At SCVi Vision in Education Benefit DSCVi Charter School’s evolutions into what it is today. Much more than just a landlord, Dale worked closely with SCVi leaders to understand the school’s vision, goals and values, navigate complex approval processes, and to adapt and expand the physical space of our Castaic, CA and Lancaster, CA campuses to create beautiful, interactive and supportive learning environments.

Live entertainment from the students demonstrating their love of learning through unique experiences will captivate guests who will be invited to become immersed in the school culture through the themes “Feel It in Your Soul” and “Beat to Your Own Drum”.

Demonstrations of learning science through magic, and learning history through reenactments and an amazing art slideshow will showcase the school’s deeper learning philosophy and its incredible impact on our learners. Live and silent auctions with packages valued at over $15,000 will include several incredible vacations, a wine tasting event for 20, and a luxury weekend on a yacht.

Donohoe has mentored Dawn Evenson and Amber Raskin as they have grown from one small school in 2008 into a cluster of schools, forming a charter management organization, iLEAD Schools Development.  A long-time resident and business leader in Santa Clarita, Dale and his wife Tamara have raised four children in the Santa Clarita Valley and believe it is important to give back to the community.

SCVI-NewsTileDonohoe has served on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, The Child and Family Center, The American Heart Association, and The Special Children’s Center. SCVi Charter School is thrilled to acknowledge his major impact on the history of our school.

Founding facilitators Christine Kunishige, Tina Navarro, and Cheryl Sena are also being honored at the event.

Co-Founder Evenson said when announcing the award recipients, “Our Vision in Education Honorees are the ones who hold the vision of the school and move our mission forward. These three ladies, Cheryl, Tina and Christine, do just that.”

All proceeds from this inspiring evening will go toward the arts which are such an integral part of our learning mission at SCVi. Thanks to our generous sponsors and donors, last year’s event raised over $27,000, which supported many creative projects at our SCVi campus, as you will experience at the event on March 21st.

Supporters may purchase tickets at the website or contact Charlene Spiteri at foundation.office@ileadschools.org or 661-645-6495 to reserve a table or sponsor the event.

  1. Congratulations to my Daughter, Cheryl Sena who will be honored at the SCVI Vision in Education Benefit Dinner. Unfortunately I live in Boston and unable to attend this milestone in my Daughters Career. It’s a proud Mother on the East Coast.
