While on patrol in Canyon Country around 3 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, deputies observed two men near Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon Rd. The two men were seen one riding a skateboard and the other on a bicycle.
Deputies made contact with the two men to see if they were in need of assistance, and upon conducting an identity check, the two males were found to have prior arrests in the system. One of the men was on probation and the other had a warrant for his arrest.
The skateboarder, a 24-year-old man, was currently on active probation for burglary, but deputies released him after determining he was not breaking his probation.
The other man, the 21-year-old riding the bicycle, was found to have a $100,000 warrant in the Sheriff’s database. In addition to the large outstanding warrant, the bicycle rider was in possession of a cocaine, leading to an arrest on two counts, according to a Facebook post by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The man was transported and booked at the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s station for the warrant and possession of an illegal narcotic.
His name was not released by Sheriff’s officials.

…..In need of assistance…..
That’s rich.
At 3:00am? Guaranteed LASD stopped and derailed something from going wrong that night / morning. Asking if they were needing assistance is the PC way of asking WTF are you doing out at 3:00am…
Maybe they needed assistance in finding their way back “home”. lol
