Around 2 p.m., deputies responded to the 27600 block of Saffron Lane in Saugus, after a victim was reportedly robbed by somebody they were in an “on and off” relationship with, said Shirley Miller, a spokeswoman for the station.

The pair had been fighting, and the incident turned physical, Miller said.

“The suspect forcefully attempted to take the victim’s purse and car keys,” she said.

Dwight Lawson, 28, was arrested by deputies on suspicion of robbery.

He is being held on $100,000 bail.

In a separate incident Friday, deputies arrested 23-year-old Cody Foraker of Castaic, after he allegedly stole watches before trying to open the doors on several vehicles in a parking lot.

Deputies responded to the Bank of America in the 23900 block of Valencia Boulevard after receiving reports of a suspicious person, Miller said.

A man, identified as Foraker, was seen trying to open the door handles on several cars in the parking lot, said Miller. Deputies made contact with Foraker, and discovered that he had been arrested earlier in the day on a warrant, but was released from custody.

He was found with three watches, and was arrested on reasonable cause burglary and tampering with a vehicle charges, Miller said.
