Kristen Bell, 34, of Canyon Country, was arrested and cited for a charge of illegal possession of drug paraphernalia. Rochelle Hanks, 24, also of Canyon Country, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine for sale.

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station’s Special Assignment Team on Wednesday arrested a pair of women after serving a search warrant in Sand Canyon.

Detectives investigated the property on the 29100 block of Sand Canyon Road after receiving information about possible stolen property found at the residence, Sheriff’s Station officials said.

Deputies recovered a number of items, including a bicycle worth several thousand dollars reported stolen from a Santa Clarita Valley hotel recently.

Deputies also reportedly seized a large amount of cash, and found other evidence, indicating the sales of illegal narcotics was taking place on the property.

The property contained a large driveway with several trailers where residents are suspected to have been maintaining a long-term residence.

The city of Santa Clarita’s Code Enforcement Team also had officials participating, according to Sheriff’s Station officials, due to concern about potential code violations on the property. The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control was also contacted due to the presence of a large number of birds that were also living on the residence.

Both suspects are being held at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail, and expected in court Friday.
