Dodgers Outlast Brewers In 13 Innings, Have Quick Turnaround

Last night’s 2-1 Dodgers victory had everything: great pitching, dramatic plays, uneven officiating and it all adds up to a best-of-3 series starting this afternoon.

A nearly six hour Game 3 finally ended by Cody Bellinger in the bottom of the 13th inning. Exhaustion had long crept in. But in the National League Championship Series, with two more wins needed to get back to the Promised Land, the Dodgers must fight their bodies in an alarmingly quick turnaround.

Last night’s game ended around 11:30 p.m. First pitch for today’s game is at 2:05 p.m. A little over 14 1/2 hours to recover and refocus for what could be the last game at Dodger Stadium this season.

That may be all the motivation that’s needed. Oh, and Clayton Kershaw’s on the mound.

Your Los Angeles Dodgers starting lineup:

1. Cody Bellinger, CF
2. Justin Turner, 3B
3. David Freese, 1B
4. Manny Machado, SS
5. Max Muncy, 2B

7. Enrique Hernanadez, RF
8. Austin Barnes, C
