Campaign finance reports released on Monday reveal that Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitchell Englander continues his frontrunner pace in the race for Los Angeles County’s Fifth Supervisorial District.
“I’m humbled by the outpouring of support for my campaign,” said Englander. “People from throughout our district are stepping up, uniting in our fight to make our streets and neighborhoods safer, helping small businesses succeed, protecting taxpayers, and delivering high quality constituent services to all residents.”
The campaign finance report comes on the heels new polling data that showed Englander began the race in first place with a significant lead over his rivals.
Since announcing his candidacy in late April, Englander’s campaign quickly racked up endorsements from prominent business and community leaders including; Jeffrey Prang, Los Angeles County Assessor; Assemblymembers Scott Wilk and Chris Holden; Former Assembly Majority Leader Dario Frommer; LA City Attorney Mike Feuer; as well as Karla Ahmanson, Co-President, Los Angeles Reserve Police Foundation*; Bert Boeckmann, Owner, Galpin Motors, Inc.*; Peter Grossman, M.D., F.A.C.S., The Grossman Burn Center; Matt Krieger, South Pasadena business leader and philanthropist; and many more throughout the district.
