“The Exer More Than Urgent Care” location gave a preview of its new Santa Clarita facility Tuesday, sharing a look at the services offered before it officially opens Wednesday.

One of the main goals of Exer is to lessen the burden on overcrowded emergency rooms and give those service providers the chance to focus on more complex issues, said Rob Mahan, CEO of Exer More Than Urgent Care.
“We provide an alternative to ER services,” Mahan said. “We’re one tenth the cost.”
The facility also works in tandem with Providence Health & Services, which has also supported the opening of three Exer locations in Los Angeles, according to Patricia Aidem, Providence Health & Services public information officer.
“We partnered about a year ago with Exer with the goal of ensuring a more appropriate level of care for patients who might head to a hospital emergency department whose conditions are not at a critical level,” Aiden said.
Exer touts its potential to stabilize and treat 80 percent of the cases seen daily in the local ER, with little-to-no waiting at a lower price than a typical walk-in urgent care, on its website.
The care unit will be accepting most PPOs, most HMOs and have affordable payment options for those without insurance, according to Exer officials.
The unit will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Exer More Than Urgent Care is located at 25548 The Old Road, #U1 in Stevenson Ranch.
