The expected amount of rainfall during this storm system is predicted to be a quarter inch to an inch in the Santa Clarita area.

The National Weather Service also warns a possibility of thunderstorms, which may be capable of generating roadway flooding as well as mud and debris flows in and below recent burn areas, such as some of the Sand Fire burn areas. Lightning storms might also be likely should the thunderstorms occur.

The flash flood watch is expected to end tomorrow morning when the heaviest of the rainfall will taper off into showers as the threat of heavier rains will decrease by the end of the day, according to the National Weather Service.
