Frontier Toyota of Valencia donated 100 Santa Clarita Dodger Day tickets Tuesday to representatives of the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for children’s cancer and the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley.

Janine Fairall, Boys & Girls Club director of operations, explained the amount of anticipation kids and staff at the club are experiencing.

“Frontier has generously donated 50 tickets to the club so that we can send our families to go have a good time at the Dodger Game.”

Anita Seilbert of the Michael Hoefflin Foundation also expressed her excitement for the Michael Hoefflin Foundation.  

“Our families will be at Dodger Stadium,” Seilbert said. “We’re looking forward to that.”

Joe Caso, owner and president of Frontier Toyota of Valencia, has supported both organizations in the past and commended them for the work they do.

“It’s been a pleasure of mine to help them out,” Caso said. “Some of these kids don’t get an opportunity to go to these games.”

Children who attend the game on Santa Clarita Dodger Day will be given a chance to feel like a member of the team as they step out onto the field at Dodger Stadium.

Frontier Toyota has provided the Santa Clarita Dodger Day tickets for many years to give Dodger fans in our valley a day to get a footlong hotdog and enjoy a game with fellow community members. Caso, along with his dealership have been longtime supporters for many Santa Clarita non-profit organizations.

Tickets for Santa Clarita Dodger Day will be available for purchase until May 3 and can be found here.

“It’s about 41 years that we’ve been doing this,” said Patrick J. Downing, arts & events supervisor for the city of Santa Clarita. “It’s a great (and) exciting community event.”

Santa Clarita Valley Dodger Day is set to take place at Dodger Stadium, when the Dodgers take on the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday, May 12 at 6 p.m.

Several ticket levels will be available for pre-purchase at a discount price ranging between $25 to $75.

About Gilbert Bernal

Gilbert A. Bernal Jr. has been part of the KHTS video department since Jan 2017. He was hired as video editor in June 2017 after his four-month internship in the video department. While serving as a video intern, his duties were extended to become a multimedia journalist, producing news videos for KHTS News and Features. Gilbert was added to the KHTS team as part of the station’s continued growth and expansion. An Army veteran, father and local artist Gilbert has dedicated time and energy to volunteering at schools in the Santa Clarita Valley. At Pinetree Community Elementary School, in Canyon Country, Gilbert donated art for school auctions, photographed events and painted murals. At Canyon High, he gave two art demonstrations for the “Yes I Can” organization, a peer counseling class that focuses on learning about disabilities, social inclusion, and tolerance. Starting in Feb 2017 Gilbert launched the “KHTS Man On the Street” video features which gather and reports local opinion of Santa Clarita residents on current issues or events. A return student at College of the Canyons since 2014, Gilbert has been apart of the Media Entertainment Arts department working as a college assistant. After enrolling into the film program in 2014, he was hired to work in the camera equipment room (The Cage). There he helps students with film equipment rentals and technical advice. Gilbert received his associates degree in Film Production from College of the Canyons in 2017. He is continuing his educational path and plans to attend CSUN in Fall 2018 to work for a Bachelor's degree in Film.
