No students were hospitalized or seriously injured after a Golden Valley High team bus caught fire on the side of the road, fire officials said Monday night.

Los Angeles County Fire Department officials reported they received a call at 8:40 p.m., from the school bus just south of Red Rover Mine Road in Acton, on the southbound lanes of Highway 14.

Four students were evaluated and treated for smoke inhalation on scene, but none were transported from the scene, according to Supervisor Pickett of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Fire officials cleared the scene around 9:42 p.m.
The team was returning from a game against Lancaster High.
