Santa Clarita basketball players and fans are invited to cheer for their favorite player as the first annual SCV Alumni Basketball Tournament takes place this weekend.

Summer basketball camps and clinics have come and gone, and now fans and players can start up high school basketball season by attending the tournament at Golden Valley High School taking place this Saturday, Oct. 22, and Sunday, Oct. 23.
Six Foothill League schools, as well as private schools in the area, will be represented by past players who remain loyal and passionate toward their respective alma maters.
Eight teams will compete in a tournament style pool play format with a winners and consolation championship bracket. Some of the prizes that will be awarded to players include a championship trophy, that will be awarded to the 2016 Champs, an MVP award will be given and “All Tournament” selections will be made.

General admission is $7, but high school and middle school students get free admission when they present a school ID.
Ball Out t-shirts will also be sold at a discounted price, and a portion of the proceeds will be given to the Golden Valley High School Boosters program.
