Paulette Pipes, one of the school’s teachers, is asking for donations to buy P.E. equipment such as a “cardio drum fit kit.”
“I am so excited to instill a love of physical activity in the kids and teach them how to find creative ways to be active every day,” said Pipes.
A list of equipment and the prices for each item can be found here. The total goal for the projects is $1,540.
Pipes created a fundraiser on DonorsChoose.org, where public schools can ask for community help raising funds for instructional equipment.

DonorsChoose.org allows schools and teachers to fundraise for items directly through the website. When a project is fully funded, the Donors Choose officials purchase all the requested items and ship them directly to the school, according to the website.
As of Thursday, $844 is still needed to purchase all of the items Pipes is looking to give to the children. The fundraiser is active through Jan. 10, and the school will only receive the materials if the full amount is donated in time.
