Thousands of people filled the stands of Cougar Stadium as the marching bands and color guards from across southern California took the field with hopes of taking home first place.
Since the Hart Regiment was hosting the event, they could not be considered for any placing. However, that did not stop them from taking the field to perform their show, entitled “Connected,“ for the assembled crowd.

Along the outside of Cougar Stadium, vendors sold a variety of products for attendees, from food to event memorabilia.
The competition is one of the biggest events that the regiment puts on, with officials estimating that 6,000 to 10,000 people attended this year’s event.
Many schools from the William S. Hart High School District performed at this year’s competition as well, with two of them even taking home first place in different categories.
Valencia High School took first place for percussion and auxiliary in the 3A division for their performance entitled “NY Cityscapes,” and West Ranch High won the entire sweepstakes for the event with their show, entitled “Celestial.”
