Santa Clarita residents will be able to meet Santa Claus and enjoy some holiday festivities at an upcoming event held at the local pasture of Gilchrist Farm.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 10 with a horse and rider holiday costume parade led by Santa himself. There will also be pony rides, wagon rides and face painting to keep children and families entertained throughout the day.
Some featured holiday snacks at the farm will include different sweet treats, tamales and even a hot chocolate bar. There will also be different demonstrations during the day, such as pinecone decorating, doll making and candle making.
Santa Claus will also be available all day during the event to take pictures with families and hear holiday wishes. The Gilchrist Farm petting zoo of goats, pigs and ducks will also be ready to meet guests who attend.

Gilchrist Farm will also offer some holiday gift ideas, such as homemade goat milk soap and gift cards for riding lessons, summer camp and birthday parties.
The Gilchrist Farm Holiday Hoedown will be on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no admission fee to attend or visit the petting zoo. All pony rides, wagon rides and crafts will be five dollars each.
