House Fire Injures One In Canyon Country

A structure fire in Canyon Country injured one person Thursday morning, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department officials.

First responders got the call at 9:12 a.m. and were on scene seven minutes later. The fire was reported in the 27000 block of Plumwood Ave.

“It came in as a structure fire,” said an official with the LACoFD. “The report said there was a smell of gas.”

When firefighters arrived on scene, smoke was showing from the roof of the home.

However, by 9:34 a.m. firefighters had reported knockdown on the fire and paramedics were called to treat one patient.

The identity of the patient and the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
