“The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is ‘Be Bold For Change,’ so, today, I decided to do just that,” said Hill. “For too long, I’ve seen the issues that actually matter to our community get ignored, while politicians in Washington D.C. have partisan fights that prevent any real progress.”
Hill’s representative did not immediately respond to a request for an interview.
As a native to Santa Clarita and the Antelope Valley, Hill graduated from Highlands Elementary, Arroyo Seco Junior High and Saugus High School before going on to attend CSUN and obtain a Master’s degree in Public Administration through the University Center at College of the Canyons.
Hill currently serves as Executive Director and Deputy CEO of PATH, a not-for-profit corporation with the goal of ending homelessness for individuals, families and communities throughout California. PATH has helped thousands of homeless individuals, veterans and families find permanent housing.
“When I listen to our community, I hear that we need more opportunities for our families,” Hill said. “That means well-paying jobs with good benefits, paid family leave, affordable day care, good health care, strong local schools and access to higher education and technical training… I’m used to tackling big problems and producing real results for people here in Southern California. I’m ready to do it again in Congress.”
