Local Football Team Vaults Back Into CIF Top Ten Rankings

CIF Southern Section Football Polls

Division 4

No. 9 Saugus (6-1): The Centurions are back in the top ten of Division 6 for the first time since Week 3 after wins over Hart and Golden Valley. Their only loss was a 17-13 defeat at St. Francis (Division 2) in Week 4.

Next up:  at West Ranch on Friday at 7:00.

Division 6

No. 2 West Ranch (7-0): The Wildcats have held steady at the No. 2 spot for four consecutive weeks. They are beating opponents by an average margin of 38.1 points per game.

Next up: vs Saugus on Friday at 7:00.

Division 12

No. 5 Santa Clarita Christian (5-2): The Cardinals are unmoved at fifth in the division after a win over Temple City last Saturday.

Next up: vs Polytechnic on Saturday at 7:00 (College of the Canyons).

CIF Southern Section Volleyball Polls

Division 3

No. 5 Hart (19-5): The Indians fell three spots after losses to Palos Verdes and Bishop Montgomery over the weekend in the Redondo Union Tournament.

Next up: at West Ranch today at 5:00.

Division 8

No. 2 Santa Clarita Christian (15-4-1): The Cardinals have won six in a row and moved up to second after knocking off No. 1 Faith Baptist (9/27).

Next up: vs Palmdale Aerospace Academy at 5:00.

No. 10 Trinity Classical Academy (14-8-1): The Knights slip to tenth after consecutive losses and it doesn’t get any easier with Faith Baptist upcoming.

Next up: at Faith Baptist at 4:30.
