Martin: Duty Calls is set to be shown on Sat. Mar. 14, at 3 p.m, and an 8 p.m. night show at Valencia High School, according to a news release. It is a matinee show with a talk back panel with the mayor of Santa Clarita, the president of NAACP San Fernando Valley Chapter, Writer, Director, SCLC board member and the pastor of Valencia Christian Center.
One night only, this hard hitting stage play takes you behind the scenes and beyond the headlines into the intimate lives of Dr. King and his wife Coretta, according to a news release. From Rosa Park’s arrest to the historic Mountain Top speech, witness the trials and tribulations Martin and Coretta face as this nation comes to a turning point in race relations while at the same time having to fight against rumors, accusations and government spying to keep their loving and devoted family unit intact.
