Casting directors for the show are searching for 8- to 13-years-old chefs to compete in a series of cooking competitions while celebrity chefs including Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi determine which contestant will take home the $100,000 grand prize.
“(We’re looking for) kids that have a passion for cooking — contestants that love cooking with their parents or grandparents,” said Desphina Vorgeas, a casting associate for the show.
The casting call for the Fox television competition will be July 9 at the Loews Hotel in Hollywood from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to flier for the show.
Registration for the show states that chefs who are at least 8 years old by Aug. 1, 2017, can participate. Applicants must not be older than 13 as of Oct. 25, 2016.

Parents and chefs must pre-register here and bring a printed version of the application with them to the call.
The young chefs are also being asked to bring their own cooking apron, and will get a chance to meet some season four contestants, according to Vorgeas.
If parents and their child are unable to attend the open call, a video of the young chef’s cooking skills can be submitted to the show’s casting department.
Video submissions must be received by July 15, according to the show’s website.
The competition is expected to take place from Oct. 10 through Sept. 16, and no shooting location has been officially determined, but will be somewhere in Los Angeles, according to Vorgeas.
