Cristina Ann Jackson, 37, of Acton, was killed when her vehicle overturned on Soledad Canyon Road not far from the Shambala Preserve around 6:30 p.m.

Jackson was the lone occupant heading eastbound when her 1998 Toyota Avalon, veered to the left, off the roadway, and struck the drainage ditch culvert on the western edge of the road, according to the preliminary CHP report.

Whether Jackson was intoxicated is still under investigation, but officers have found evidence of intoxication and suspect it might have been a factor.

Fire officials attempted life-saving measures at the scene, which were unsuccessful.

East- and westbound lanes were closed on Soledad Canyon Road in the area from 7 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.

The collision is still under investigation at this time. Anyone with information about the crash can contact the CHP Newhall office at 661-294-5540
