“The call came in (at) 11:15 a.m. for a traffic collision,” said Austin Bennett, a spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “We transported two patients at around 11:40 a.m.”

The two patients were transported “ALS,” meaning that they were transported with “advanced life support” and could possibly need major treatment on the way to the hospital.

First responders were at the scene by 11:23 a.m., and found that three large tractor trailers were involved in the collision, according to Bennett.

As a result of the collision, the following intersections were temporarily closed:

  • Golden Valley Road / Centre Pointe Parkway
  • Golden Valley Road / Sierra Highway
  • Golden Valley Road / Robert C. Lee Parkway

The status of the two patients is unknown at this time.
