More than 60 teams are moving an American flag across the country to help honor veterans and raise funds for veterans programs.

On Wednesday and Thursday morning, the Team Red, White, and Blue Old Glory Relay continued through the Santa Clarita Valley as part of their journey across the country.

The Old Glory Relay features 62 teams moving a single American flag 4,216 miles across the country from Redmond, Wash., to Tampa, Fla., in order to raise money and awareness for veterans across the country.

The Team Red, White and Blue is a charitable organization that describes their mission as “to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity,” according to the group’s website.
