Officials from the Castaic Union School District have selected a new chief business official after an extensive search.

Linette Hodson will serve as Chief Business Official, or CBO, for the district.
District officials announced Tuesday evening that Hodson, who has served as assistant superintendent of business services for the Keppel Union School District for the past four years, will begin service as the CUSD CBO on June 13, 2016.
In addition to her experience as assistant superintendent of business services, Hodson also served four years as assistant superintendent of support services in the 2,700-student Keppel Union School District.
Prior to her move to the Keppel Union School District in 2004, Hodson spent 14 years in the Palmdale School District as director of special education, principal, curriculum resource teacher and as a third grade teacher.
“As you can see, Ms. Hodson comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of education,” said a press release by the CUSD.

“We’re very excited to have Ms. Hodson come to Castaic,” said Superintendent Steve Doyle. “She brings a strong sense of beliefs and values that guide her decision making. She is a person of high integrity. Ms. Hodson is known for her ability to understand and relate the instructional program needs to align with the fiscal resources of the district. She is all about ensuring that our district financial resources maximize student outcomes and achievement for every child.”
District officials released a statement praising Hodson’s skill.
“Ms. Hodson is a highly respected administrator that has a reputation for developing relationships with all stakeholders,” said the statement. “She is an effective communicator and is successful in making complex financial information understandable. Her past background in regular and special education provides a unique perspective and skill set not often found in the business office.”
