“Things are looking good,” said Nathan Judy, spokesman for the Angeles National Forest. “We haven’t had any active fire spots since Saturday night, just some smoldering in the interior.”

The fire was affecting about 800 acres at last report, with officials reporting about 60 percent containment.

To make sure no new fires occur, officials will likely be out there until Friday, Judy said, conducting operations such as clearing brush and mop up.

There were no significant injury as a result of the fire, according to fire officials. Two outhouses were apparently lost in the blaze, but no homes or buildings were threatened.

No evacuations were made and no closures are in effect as a result of the fire.

“Crews today will finish direct fire line and hose lay around the fire, reinforce fire line where needed, and back haul as needed,” according to the InciWeb page from the Angeles National Forest Service.
