One Killed In Single-Car Crash By Valencia High

Deputies are investigating a fatal single–car crash by Valencia High School, officials said Wednesday.

The driver, an adult female, crashed the car at approximately 4:37 a.m., officials said.

The driver crashed into the traffic pole at the corner of Dickason Drive and Smyth Drive, officials said. Deputies are still investigating the cause. It’s not known at this time if alcohol or drugs were factors.

The driver was transported the hospital where she died from injuries.

The identity of the decedent was not available Wednesday morning. Officials confirmed the decedent was not a student of Valencia High School.

The scene was cleared by approximately 7:30 am., according to witnesses.
