Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are seeking the whereabouts of two missing teens believed to be runaways who reportedly wanted to be together, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.

Ioni Riederer, a  14-year-old West Ranch High student, and 15-year-old Jeremiah Gill, who attends Gorman Charter School, were last seen Monday on Hillcrest in Castaic around 1 p.m.

The two reportedly left home to spend time together, and have not been seen by their parents since, according to officials. Both teens live in Castaic with their parents.

Jeremiah is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 100 pounds, with blond hair and he’s an avid hiker, officials said.

Ioni is 5 feet, 3 inches tall with long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a Castaic Junior Lifeguards hoodie with grey sweats.

They were believed to have run away to spend time together, but their parents are concerned because they have not been seen for several days.

The two have had a relationship over the last seven or eight months that both teens’ parents discouraged because they were worried about them getting serious about the relationship at such a young age, said Mike Riederer, Ioni’s father.

“We both didnt really approve of them having a relationship because it was a little too strong,” he said. “Kids are kids, they’re going to have their little relationships.”

The two frequented the area around Castaic Middle School, in the Hillcrest neighborhood.

Ioni had recently made mention to friends of wanting to go to Downtown Los Angeles or the Hollywood area, but she has no family in the area.
