The four people that were killed in a plane crash near Agua Dulce on Sunday have been identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

The pilot was identified by the Coroner’s office as Thomas Hastings,65, who was flying his own plane to his Winnetka home after a weekend trip to Las Vegas with his daughter Amber Hill, 27; her husband, Jacob Hill, 25; and her daughter, Madison Hastings Saxelby, 9.
The small plane crashed into power lines the hills near Agua Dulce and the 14 Freeway north of Santa Clarita. The Initial report was received shortly before 11 a.m.
The plane was a CIrrus VK-30 plane, a fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft, according to officials at the National Transportation Safety Board.

Around 10:50 Palmdale Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the small aircraft collision near Agua Dulce and Briggs Road and found four victims in the brush.
Three passengers that were on board the plane were all pronounced dead on scene. A fourth passenger was pronounced dead after firefighters performed CPR, according to LACoFD officials.
The crash is technically within the boundaries of Canyon Country, and Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics are responding by helicopter to the crash because of the remote location
Cirrus VK-30 plane, a fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft sold as a “kit plane,” which was legal to fly under a “experimental amature built plane, according to planes registry papers with the FAA.
Jake Hastings, son of pilot in the crash, said in a youtube video that the plane was built in his father’s garage from 1990-1999.
