Planned Parenthood officials say the bill includes a provision to ‘defund’ Planned Parenthood, which will block millions of low-income women from coming to Planned Parenthood for breast exams, cancer screenings and birth control, according to their release.

This bill would force women into a world where it’s nearly impossible to both prevent pregnancy, and to get medical care once they’re pregnant, PP officials said.

Angelenos will not stand for this. A new Kaiser Family Foundation poll shows that 75% of Americans – including majorities of both Republican women and Republican men – support federal Medicaid reimbursements for Planned Parenthood. A new FOX News poll also shows that the majority of Americans have a favorable view of Planned Parenthood.

Not only do 57% of FOX News respondents view Planned Parenthood favorably, but that number has increased by 7% since FOX news polled registered voters back in 2015. One in five women in America have relied on Planned Parenthood for health care.

When politicians say they want to defund Planned Parenthood, what they’re really saying is they want to block millions across the country and 850,000 people in California from access to basic health care — cancer screenings, birth control, well woman exams — that they depend on. Planned Parenthood supporters are rallying and organizing to make sure this does not happen.

The above information was provided in a news release by Planned Parenthood.

  1. Address? Time? Essential info is missing from this article!!

  2. Well, a time would be nice. But it DOES say Saturday, so I assume it’s THIS Saturday, the 25th, and the Skatepark is on Reuthers between the Home Depot and the Doggie Park. It’s right on the corner in the Aquatic Center for those who aren’t familiar with the area. Good idea, and important that we all show we’re not gonna stand for Trump’s attempts at ruining what’s good for the people of this country after all we’ve been through to get things to this point in society! We refuse to let him return us to the dark ages!!! ????

  3. Does anyone really believe a multimillion dollar conglomerate like PP is going to crumble to dust by losing their government funding?? Not likely. But it will prevent taxpayers from having to pay for contraceptives and abortions. There are crisis Pregnancy centers everywhere that are willing to help women get the care and support they need if they find themselves with an unplanned Pregnancy. Plenty of other places do cancer screenings and give birth control. Taxpayers do not have to fund it.

  4. This article fails to mention the atrocities committed by Planned Parenthood. There’s no denying that some good comes out of PP, but there’s a lot of awful things that happen there too and we do ourselves a disservice as a society if we overlook them.

  5. Why a children’s skate park? Complexly opposite of caring for children

  6. Interesting how this article stresses how much support they have. If that’s so, why the need for a rally?

Supporters of PP always have to claim they do so many good things and never come out and say they what’s true, theywant to keep aborting babies.

How about you stop killing unborn children and you might actually get the support you claim to have.
