The Home and Garden show also includes the Emergency Expo, Earth Arbor Day Festival, Arts and Crafts Fair and Marketplace that features 100 different arts and crafts exhibitors.

“Each year our show gets bigger and better,” said Carl Goldman, KHTS co-owner. “It’s grown over 50 percent since last year with many more fun activities — we’ve designed components to please all ages.”

As part of the Emergency Expo, visitors can experience what an earthquake would feel like in the Shakey-Quakey house courtesy of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Participants can also climb on board fire engines, Sheriff’s patrol cars and check out the Gentle Barn’s emergency trailer to rescue horses. Witness the Jaws of Life being demonstrated by the Los Angeles County Fire Department, sponsored by Valencia Nissan. Watch firefighters tear apart a car to demo the latest rescue techniques.

Kids can also experience the Gilchrist Farm Petting Zoo and check out horses at the therapeutic horse arena.

Visitors can pick up a free mulch and a tree courtesy of the City of Santa Clarita as part of the Earth/ Arbor Day Festival.

Kids can also take home live lady bugs or even touch a snake from the Placerita Nature Center

And so much more will be included in the KHTS Home and Garden Show, the best news is everything is free.
