“The (Santa Clarita) Galpin group will own that Porsche dealership,” said the Porsche representative, who asked to remain anonymous. “They’re the owners of that (Santa Clarita) franchise.”

In addition to the representatives of Porsche confirming the existence of a Santa Clarita contract for a Porsche dealership, a number of Auto Row dealers have confirmed that a Porsche dealership is coming to the Valencia Auto Center.

The Valencia Auto Center is one of Southern California’s largest auto centers, attracting shoppers from all over California to provide access to more than 25 vehicle brands, according to officials.

  1. This is old news. Galpin gave-up/returned/lost (pick one) the Mazda franchise. The remaining Subaru franchise will move to Magic Mountain Parkway where the former Parkway Volkswagen franchise was located. The new home of Galpin Subaru will have plenty of room for ALL the Barkleys and the new Huge-a-roo (Ascent)…lol

In my opinion, Subaru should just stay where they are – across from Toyota. The two brands complement one another, and considering Toyota’s 20% ownership of Subaru/Fuji, being across the street from Frontier Toyota is a good for competition. Porsche would fit nicely on Magic Mountain next to Infiniti.

As you recall, the current home of Galpin Subaru was the former Galpin Saturn – and we all know what happened to Saturn.

Pushing back the time-clock, remember when the currently AutoNation-owned Mini franchise was the home of Galpin Lincoln-Mercury and Volvo. When Saturn went to the deep sea of abyss, Lincoln-Mercury was moved to the Saturn building and Scooby-doo was added. Since that time, Galpin dropped Lincoln-Mercury.

Going up the street, did anybody notice that Champion Nissan will have the Kia franchise in the former Volkswagen building (before Volkswagen moved to Magic Mountain Parkway) as of October 1, 2018? Will Kia make a go of it again, considering Keyes elected not find a home for Kia when Auto Nation purchased the former Kia, and prior to that Honda property and Keyes elected to shut down the Kia franchise instead?

    • What are you talking about lol first of all Galpin is a San Fernando Valley group the majority of their dealers are on the auto center in Roscoe & Sepulveda off the 405. Second, Galpin did not drop Lincoln it’s on Roscoe along with Lotus, Volvo, Jaguar, and Aston Martin
Galpin had a Kia location and dropped it as well Subaru has been dropped, Mazda remains as a single point store on Roscoe
Now why Porsche in that location well it makes sense since BMW and MBZ is nearby as well as it being a single point store allowing better allocation of vehicles
When the Second Mazda store and Subaru were together it screwed up allocation and deals available to offer being a store that offers multiple brands with Glendale Subaru not much farther Galpin dropped Subaru
      Total Galpin has
Galpin Ford, Galpin Mazda, Galpin VW, Galpin Lotus, Galpin Lincoln, Galpin Aston Martin, Galpin Volvo, Galpin Jaguar, and Galpin Honda with this new Porsche location it and Honda are the only 2 Galpin Dealers not located on Roscoe. These are all the Galpin dealers which are also all in the top 10 nationwide in their respective sales markets Galpin Ford #1 29 years straight, Honda #2 for 6 years Straight from a tiny store that pumps out close to 1000 new cars a month

  2. “Scooby-doo was added” …?! What is that… a new manufacturer no one has heard of or a new vehicle from Lincoln…?! Ruht-row.

  3. Porsche Dealership would not fit well in the former Parkway VW location. The Galpin property is large enough to tear down/face lift to meet PCNA architectural franchise requirement. Also the corner location better competes with BMW and Mercedes 100yrds down the street.

  4. How do you apply for employment at the new Porsche dealership

  5. What is the opening date to the new Porsche dealership in Valencia?
