The winning numbers in Saturday night’s drawing were 16, 19, 32, 34, 57 and a Powerball of 13.

The $1.5 billion jackpot will have a cash value of approximately $930 million, according to the California Lottery.

Saturday’s Powerball grand prize shot up to $940 million up from the previous $900 million due to an high increase in ticket sales.

In California, Powerball players bought an estimated $59.1 million worth of tickets, according to a news release from the California Lottery.

The odds of winning the Powerball grand prize are mind bogglingly slim at 1 in 229 million, according to a report by CNN Money.

“A lot of new people are coming in and buying tickets,” said Elly Flores, a cashier at Placerita Liquor in Newhall. “My boss’ friend, who owns a different liquor store, bought $4,000 worth of tickets. I have never seen that before in my three years working here.”

While most people would probably spend the winnings on mansions and mega-yachts, one woman who recently purchased a ticket at Bonanza Liquor and Market in Newhall had different plans.

“I would help out many homeless shelters, help out animals, help out my family and those in need,” said Tammy Risberg.

The unlikely odds of winning didn’t deter Risberg from trying her luck at the grand prize.

“If you don’t play,” Risberg said, “you can’t win.”

However, six tickets, with five of the six winning numbers, were sold throughout California on Saturday night’s drawing.

The winning tickets were sold at theses locations:

  1. 7-Eleven, located at 4193 Central Avenue in Fremont (Alameda County)
  2. Parkwood Gas & Food, 1612 West Hammer Lane in Stockton (San Joaquin County)
  3. Nice Market, located at 3794 Highway 20 in Nice (Lake County)
  4. Hassan #38, located at 32842 Pacific Coast Highway in Dana Point (Orange County)
  5. Primm Valley Lotto, located at Interstate 15 & Stateline NV in Nipton (San Bernardino County)
  6. Stateline Service, located at 65845 Cima Road in Mountain Pass (San Bernardino County)

The Powerball lottery is played in 44 states in addition to the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
