Thousands of people came out to the parking lot of Real Life Church with their children in costumes to enjoy the various activities that event organizers had set up for families.

Dozens of different booths from people and organizations, including The Way Out Recovery and Embrace Your Smile Orthodontics, were set up so children could safely trick or treat.

The event also featured an interactive magic show inside the church itself in order to give children and their families a break from the heat outside.

In addition to the seemingly endless amount of sweets that were passed out, Real Life Church brought out bounce houses and other activities for children to get out their energy.

With officials estimating that roughly 6,000 presale tickets sold before the event, “Halloween at Real Life Church” demonstrated why the church refers to the event as the “largest, family-friendly Halloween event in Santa Clarita.”

  1. While a fun event, I’m not really sure why Real Life calls themselves a church? It’s more like Real Life Events for families and the community. Sorry, but that’s the reality of it…no pun intended.

    • Hello Jimmy, I welcome you to come join us at one of the regular Sunday services, we attend every Sunday and love it. Real Life Church is much more than just big events like this. What is wrong with a church loving the community it is part of and holding an event like this too bring joy to all those who attend?

Real Life Church changed my life and it is my hope that others will find and follow Jesus by the things that RLC and other churches alike do. Whether that is a big event like this or just a regular Sunday service that has a message that speaks to the person, it does not matter. For me, it was just a normal Sunday that changed me from being someone who hated even the thought of going to church to someone who walks out of church looking forward to the following Sunday so I can come back again.

Finding and following Jesus is not something that can be forced on you but if you or anyone reading this would like to know more and are ready to take that first step, I encourage you to come to a service at RLC. There worse that can happen is you leave feeling like you wasted an hour of your Sunday. What may happen, like it did for me, is you leave knowing your life has changed.

      With hope and love,
      Chris Cory

    • Hi Jimmy, I’m not sure why you would criticize a church for having a family friendly, kid safe, community building, fun time event… Yes, RLC may have a few big events a year (it’s all about loving our neighbors) but they have church service 52 Sunday’s a year, Life Groups (weekly in-home, small group, Bible studies) and Rooted Groups, service projects for the community and other non-profits, mission trips, Strip Church Ministry (that reaches out to women in the sex industry with love, encouragement, hope and comfort items), Celebrate Recovery (a weekly support group), OneMore Foster Family Support meetings, weekly Homeless Outreach and much more.
As Mr. Cory said, maybe check them out one weekend and see what they are all about. You might be pleasantly surprised by the love, joy and support this church offers.
Maybe join in a service project over the holidays: Thanksgiving meal donations to 200 needy families in the CC schools – Nov 18th, Christmas gifts donations for foster kids – Nov 15th/18th, Christmas gifts for needy families in SCV, Meal Packing service project – Dec 1st. Or join a mission trip to Uganda, Mexico, Haiti (sharing the love of Christ through helping build homes, support orphans, etc.)
RLC just wants to “Love God and Love Others” (SHOW God’s love, not just preach God’s love) and that my friend is a CHURCH!
