The prom will be held Saturday from 5-8 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Activities Centre. Students with special needs ages 15-30 were invited to attend.
“‘A Night to Remember’ is going to be just that, said Rusty George, lead pastor of Real Life Church in Valencia. “Many students with special needs will never attend prom, never experience what it is like to pick out a prom dress or ever have the excitement of getting ready for prom. So, in partnering with Young Life, we are able to change that. We wanted to give these students the same great night that their siblings or other students have — ‘A Night to Remember.’”
Every honored guest attending the prom will be offered, free of charge:
- A tuxedo or prom dress
- Hair styling and makeup by professional cosmetologists
- A corsage or boutonnière
- A limousine ride
- A walk down the red carpet complete with paparazzi and cheering fans
- A night of dinner and dancing with a live DJ
- A gift bag and special memories that will last a lifetime

Mission Church in Ventura did one of these recently. Hundreds of people were there. It is such a wonderful thing and it takes lots and lots of volunteers to make it successful. Check out the video….
