Runners will soon be able to register online for the 20th Anniversary of the Santa Clarita Marathon, officials stated Thursday.

The City of Santa Clarita is excited to welcome the Santa Clarita Marathon, presented by Parkway Motorcars, for its 20th anniversary event on Sunday, November 8, 2015. The challenging racing events, including a marathon, two person marathon relay, half marathon, 5k run, Mayor’s Walk and Kid K Fun Run, are open for online registration on Wednesday, July 1, 2015.
The City’s marathon is USA Track & Field certified and an official qualifying race for the Boston Marathon. The Santa Clarita Marathon is designed to test the physical boundaries of the human body while promoting health and fitness among residents.
To kick off the event, the City will also host a pre-race Health and Fitness Expo presented by Boston Scientific on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. The free Expo will feature various health-related vendors and over 30 exhibitor booths on the latest news from the health and fitness industry. Booths will feature sponsors, free prizes, running gear, and products for sale. This is also, the last chance to register for all events (Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5K, Mayors Walk and Kid K).
Registration for the Santa Clarita Marathon will be available online and also offered at the Health and Fitness Expo presented by Boston Scientific. There is no day-of registration for any racing events. Participants who register online will save $10 on processing fees and can pick up their race bibs at the Expo.
The Marathon
Starting at 7 a.m. between the Hyatt Valencia and Westfield Valencia Town Center, the looped course follows 26.2 miles of roadways, paved City trails, and paseos to its finish line at Westfield Valencia Town Center. The Marathon is a Boston qualifier and is USATF certified. Early registration will cost $80, after September 30th registration will cost $90 and registration at the Health and Fitness Expo will cost $100.
