Remo Music Center (RMC) opened the doors of a new facility in Valencia Wednesday evening, celebrating with a drum circle and ribbon cutting ceremony.

Nearly 50 supporters were invited to help give a drum roll to the unveiling of Remo’s new RMC facility for the community.
Cheryl Ramirez, a representative for the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, led the event to honor Remo Inc. Owner Ami Belli and CEO Brock Kaericher before the audience, and thanked them for bringing RMC to the Santa Clarita Valley.
Representatives from city, state and county officials presented Belli and Kaericher certificates to commemorate this significant occasion.
Kaericher took the stage to look back on the business and its involvement with the community.
“We’ve been apart of this community for 21 years, and finally we’ve been able to move the flagship here and be able to reach out to the community,” said Kaericher. “It’s a multipurpose facility, it gives us the ability to bring the community in and let them experience the wonderful aspects of drumming and what it can do for their lives.”
Numerous drummers gathered at RMC Valencia in Industry Park to join in on the first public drum circle, and watch as Morelia Robles and other Miss Teen SCV Scholarship Program recipients helped cut ribbon the to the new RMC.
“We’re here on behalf of the Miss Santa Clarita Scholarship Program,” said Robles “ We’re here for the ribbon cutting and just to welcome Remo into the community and to the (SCV) Chamber of Commerce as well.”
Ami Belli, the wife of Remo Inc. founder Remo Belli, said the venue was a fresh start to music in Santa Clarita.
“Remo always said you need a place for drummers to drum,” said Belli. “You cannot have drum circles without the venue.”
Belli also took the time to recognized the Remo staff that designed and arranged the new RMC facility.
“I’m overwhelmed, I’m inspired from these people who love Remo, said Belli. “This is Remo’s place, they love Remo so much this is really a work of love a labor of love.”
RMC is expected to provide opportunities for Santa Clarita Residents and areas surrounding to experience the joy of drumming, according to Remo staff.
