Traditional shapewear can be uncomfortable and difficult to keep in place, so the clothing experts at Ruby Ribbon are offering an innovative line of shapewear built into women’s clothing.

“We thought about a real woman’s body, so we added a revolutionary type of shapewear right into our clothing,” said Maura Corbett-Fried, a Santa Clarita Ruby Ribbon representative. “Instead of using 360 degrees of compression like most shapewear does, we used variable compression points, and what that does it that helps our body look leaner and slimmer.”
Women can shop a variety of Ruby Ribbon clothing, ranging from dresses and shirts to tank tops and capri pants, all of which are made using wicking material for breathable comfort.
To ensure Ruby Ribbon clothing stays in place, an invisible liner is used to create a “no-slip grip,” which also eliminates the need to wear a bra.

“We do have a patent on that, which is three inches of surgical grade silicone, heat-pressed onto the garment. That is going to make the garment never move,” Corbett-Fried said. “I actually wear our tank tops without a bra working out and I never have a problem. It actually stays in place and my yoga pants stay on my body.”
Clothing is geared toward people of all ages, ranging from girls as young as 12-years-old to women in their eighties, and is reasonably priced, Corbett-Fried added.
“We can really fit every body. We have great style; it’s very casual and our ‘every day’ wear,” she said. “What we like to say is we have Barneys quality with Macy’s pricing.”
