During the month of April, The MAIN in Old Town Newhall plans to host “Dust”– a Western-themed art exhibit — by figurative painter, Jorin Bossen. The exhibit is running throughout April and is free and open to residents during gallery hours; Tuesday through Friday, from 1-5 p.m.

“Bossen’s paintings possess a cinematic quality reminiscent of old Western movies,” according to The MAIN’s press release. “Combining the use of composition, texture, detail and lack of detail, drips and lines to achieve his unique style”.

Bossen is Los Angeles based artist and has been featured in multiple exhibits across the United States in over 35 group and solo exhibitions.

The exhibit is scheduled for the duration of April, but local residents are invited to a free public art reception for “Dust” on Thursday, April 20 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The MAIN. The reception hopes to feature light appetizers, live entertainment, and a chance to meet the artist.

The free exhibit intends to be open to the public beginning Tuesday, April 4th. The MAIN is located at 24266 Main Street, Old Town Newhall.
