Santa Clarita audiologist Nola Aronson of Advanced Audiology is planning to demonstrate a new technology that offers a unique solution for hearing loss at an open house event.

Set for Dec. 8-10 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Aronson and her staff will be demonstrating Widex’s new line of Unique hearing aids that have been “trained” to reduce background noise and enhance soft speech and sounds.
“The key to quality hearing is not simply amplification of sounds, it’s being able to cut through the noise and focus on the important things,” Aronson said. “That’s why I’m so excited about the Unique line. It enhances speech and allows users to focus and have clear communications. Particularly with the holidays coming up, being able to understand and enjoy conversations is a great thing.”
To develop the line, technicians from the German hearing aid manufacturer Unique spent several years building a sound library that includes 500 different sounds in 100 different environments, allowing them to “teach” the hearing aid how to “react” in those situations.

Open house attendees will have the chance to watch demonstrations of Unique hearing aids, meet Advanced Audiology’s Widex representative and save $300 off Advanced Audiology’s everyday low prices for a pair of hearing aids.
In addition, individuals who qualify for a no-obligation hearing aid trial will receive a coupon for $10 off a holiday turkey or ham.
