Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are investigating a report of a gunshot victim in Canyon Country, officials said.

Deputies received a call shortly before 3 p.m. regarding a man who was shot in an apartment on the 18000 block of Anne’s Circle in Santa Clarita.
The victim, a man, was shot at the apartment complex, officials said. The suspect was a woman. No information was released on the suspect or the victim at this time.
The man sustained what appears to be non-life-threatening wounds, according to preliminary reports. The man was shot twice, once in his left thigh, and again in his forearm.
The man and the woman had a relationship, according to officials, and initial information indicates the shooting was a domestic violence incident.
Deputies were just arriving on scene as of 3:10 p.m., and one suspect has been detained, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
County Fire Department officials confirmed the call at 2:50 p.m., and arrived on scene at 3:03 p.m.
Preliminary reports indicate both the suspect and the victim were found in the same apartment complex, but Sheriff’s Station officials did not release any other information at this time.
