Although Santa Clarita won’t be getting its own Porto’s Bakery location any time soon, residents will now be able to order pastries and bake them in the comfort of their own home.

The Cuban bakery, who now has four locations throughout Southern California with a fifth on the way, launched a new delivery service Tuesday called “Bake at Home.”

Through the new service, Porto’s will now be able to ship their pastries nationwide, but they will arrive to customers frozen and will need to be baked.

“It’s like having a Porto’s Bakery in your home,” Porto’s Bakery officials said in a statement.

Food enthusiasts now have the opportunity to order the guava and cheese pastry, cheese roll, guava strudel, dulce de leche besito, or their meat pie.

Those who can not make it to one of Porto’s current locations, in Burbank, Glendale, Downey, or Buena Park, are encouraged by Porto’s officials to use this option.

The items are all sold in quantities of a dozen, with the exception of the besito cookies, which have 15 pieces. All items sold through the delivery service are set to cost $16.99 plus shipping, according to Porto’s Bakery officials.

Those who wish to submit an order must choose at least two items per order.

“Congrats, you are now a Porto’s Pastry Chef,” said bakery officials. “Feel free to take all the credit.”
