Following the Sand Fire, many local organizations, neighborhoods and businesses contacted first responders with offers of pancake breakfasts, barbecues and dinners, however they asked that one event be held where everyone could gather together.

Additionally, the first responders have asked that no gifts be given to them and instead have asked that residents donate to the families and individuals affected by the fire through the Santa Clarita Valley Disaster Coalition.

All of the money donated will go to the victims in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Prior to this event officials from FivePoint, the parent company of Newhall Land and Farming, announced a $5,000 donation to help Santa Clarita Valley residents affected by the Sand Fire.
