UPDATE 11:10 a.m. — Although LASD Cyber Crimes Bureau detectives have confirmed that their current case only involves the two victims — Girls Scouts of the USA Troops and the Beverly Hills Cancer Center — Sgt. David Chambers has said that she was involved in a number of “youth activities” here in Santa Clarita.

Cascione’s name was listed as the Saugus High School girls’ soccer team “Fundraiser.” KHTS also learned that Cascione was in charge of the GoFundMe Page for Wyatt Savaikie — a 14-year-old boy who was struck and killed by a vehicle in 2015 in Saugus.

That GoFundMe page raised $15,225 for Savaikie’s funeral and memorial costs.

ORIGINAL STORY — Over the past 20 years, Patricia Cascione, 52, was entrusted as the treasurer for multiple Girl Scouts of the USA Troops in addition to a local Girl Scouts Service Unit in Santa Clarita, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Fraud and Cyber Crimes Bureau detectives became aware of potential fraudulent activity and initiated a criminal investigation.

Following her arrest, which was the conclusion of a 15-month investigation, detectives served a search warrant at the suspect’s residence and recovered additional evidence, according to authorities.

Cascione allegedly embezzled over $58,000 during the past five years from several Girl Scout Troops and Service Unit bank accounts she had control over, according to detectives.

“During the investigation, detectives also determined Mrs. Cascione, while CFO of the Beverly Hills Cancer Center, and was alleged to have committed theft by false pretense of over $30,000,” said LASD officials.

Cascione was also responsible for fundraising for numerous other organizations in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Investigators believe there may be other victims and are asking anyone with questions or information to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Fraud and Cyber Crimes Bureau, Sergeant David Chambers at (661) 471-1534.

  1. Was always suspicious of her and her approach to get money from parents. I heard she was also in charge of the Saugus Cross Country funds. Hope they don’t suffer from her.

  2. Could you please convert $88k to cookies? Samoas is preferred if it makes a difference.

  3. How can a person steal from children and cancer organizations? NO ethics, whatsoever. She should be ashamed.

  4. What a horrible human being. How did she get away with this for 20 years? Hope she rots in prison.

  5. Wow! What a low life!! She should get life for this!! Nothing lower

  6. The news has reported also she and her husband filed for bankruptcy in May 2017 and continued to live their same lavish lifestyle. A red flag according to Sergeant Chamberrs of LASD.

  7. Always wondered how she was she was able to buy both of her daughters brand new BMW’s without any payments & said it was because of all the Thrive products she sold. She sent her daughter on an all expenses paid trip that lasted a year to Europe with her bf AND she then bought her daughter a custom built tiny house that she said later “they built”. While they may have had a hand in building it, it was purchased by Tricia. The husband just published a book on living a Godly life, which the former principal of Saugus HS endorsed. What a joke!

    • Let me give you the facts Shelley. Both cars are incentives through Thrive. Her daughter and boyfriend went to Europe for a couple weeks, not a year. You should know what you’re posting before opening your mouth.

      • I agree Ann! Shelley is just a Troll reveling in other peoples perceived struggles. Let the truth come out, prior to passing judgement!

Should be ashamed of yourself Shelley!

  8. Do not take what does not belong to you extends beyond monetary items. I believe that every hateful comment that her children read is a theft of their spirit and soul and that it is equally as shameful as theft of money. We are all accountable for the choices we make so be mindful of what you write. She will have to answer for her actions in a court of law and will no doubt pay dearly in her community. A price her children will pay with pieces of themselves that you cant possibly return as easily as money. I pray for monetary and spiritual restitution.

  9. This is absolutely terrible!!! She needs to do jail time for this. How does a person have the heart to take from young girls and a facility that cares for patients fighting cancer. I hope the court does not go light on her. They need to use her as another example of a horrible person she is. Has anyone received any additional information on her arraignment date?

  10. Tricia did not pay for their trip to Europe or for their tiny house. Her daughter literally vlogged and youtubed it and talked about how much she had to save, how she saved, it, etc. This whole family is a long time friend of ours, and if you don’t know the facts about a situation, you should really consider getting them before slashing people online. Would you say those things to her face?
Also, Nick (her husband) wrote a book about what happens when we die and the judgment we face. It’s an awesome book…pretty much available anywhere…I recommend! Have a good one 🙂
