Along with the new race distance, the three day-long event plans to hold a full marathon, half marathon, 5K run and Mayor’s Walk, with each event taking place at different times over the Nov. 2 to Nov. 4 weekend.

Registration for all races begins July 1, when participants will be able to take advantage of the lowest entry prices of the year, according to city officials.

Registration will run until Oct. 29 and in-person registration will be held during the Health and Fitness Expo, but not during the initial race days.

In addition to the new 10K distance, the Health and Fitness Expo will now be held at the Westfield Valencia Town Center, where guests can connect with vendors and runners can sign-up for the Santa Clarita Marathon, as well as pick up their bibs and official race shirt.

Saturday morning, races include the all-new 10K run, as well as the 5K and Mayor’s Walk, which will feature a new course.

Sunday morning, runners will take part in the Santa Clarita Marathon and Half Marathon, passing over the iconic Iron Horse Bridge.

All races on both days will start on Magic Mountain Parkway, between Auto Center Drive and Citrus Avenue, and end at the expo site at the Westfield Valencia Town Center.

The public is encouraged to attend the free Health and Fitness Expo and cheer on runners at various points along the course on race day.

Street closures and times for race weekend will be announced once they are confirmed.
